BONITO DEL NORTE
Me sentí inspirada por la técnica japonesa Gyotaku, pero la adapté a mi propio estilo. Pedí pieles de pescado a los pescaderos, las cubrí con varias tintas chinas y trabajé con presión para transferirlas a diferentes papeles. Luego jugué con papeles, tinta e intuición. Cuando pinto, mi intuición es muy importante; creo que mi subconsciente se expresa a través de lápices, papeles, etc. Me gusta pasar tiempo pintando, viendo, esperando y escuchando lo que la pintura me está diciendo. Creo que solo sigo las instrucciones del papel.
I felt inspired by Japanese Gyotaku method, but I adapted it to my own style. I asked the fishmongers for some skins/scales. I covered them with several Indian inks and worked with pressure to transfer them to different papers. Later, I played with papers, ink and intuition. When I paint, my intuition is very important; I believe my subconscious expresses itself through pencils, papers, etc. I like to spend time painting, observing, waiting and listening to what the painting is telling me. I think I only follow the instructions of the paper.
